Wow!!! Now this is some wisdom to look back to as we build La Befana’s Table---people coming together by choice not bound by race or creed and just wanting to live a legendary story.
yesssssss! "people just wanting to live a legendary story" - i love that...and isn't what we need right now? What if we all developed the legendary story we wanted to live and create together?
You get it....this is what I'm inviting people into.....how do we take with us the wisdom of the ancient past but not the memory that keeps us trapped in pain....and then how the fuck do we live A legendary story that has room for paradox, appreciation of the multitude of cultural narratives that humans have come up with to make meaning of this life, and one that draws us to see the divine in everyone and everything. To me, the la befana legend is an incredible guiding myth and reminder of how to be in right relationship. That's where I'm going with this. I think the prophets of this past would doom and gloom everyone into change but my sense is we need to celebrate our way into the future we long to bequeath to the generations that come after us like a bunch of Wholy fools.
yessss, doom-and-gloom won't get us there; celebration, joy is an essential part of how we move forward this time...it probably will aid us in the working with the paradox es and the not being trapped in the pain of the past that you mentioned at the start...
we're on the same page. One of the things that keeps me so hopefully is how many people from a diversity of cultural and worldview corners are hitting on this exactly theme. we're supposed to be working through this times this way: the hard stuff, the joyous stuff, the wildest imagination stuff....and the restful stuff
I'm so curious and looking forward to hearing more about how La Befana's myth guides this
